    ///. Morning Devotion
    *********************************************

    (It a new day and a new reason to try again)
    In September 2018, a Chinese court jailed a man for two years for neglecting his ageing father. His four sisters were also handed suspended jail sentences for ignoring their dad who died a "lonely death at home" at the age of 80 because none of his children agreed to return from the cities to care for him.
    The case of the Zhang children may sound novel or even unusual in the western legal system but the Chinese do have a law which makes it a crime for children to fail to care for their elderly parents.
    However, before anyone enacted that law, God the father had handed down the same law to Moses for His chosen people in all ages. He made it part of the timeless canon of the Ten commandments from which all existing moral and ethical laws derive.
    Take note of the two promises attached to honoring your parents: first, that your days may be prolonged (that is long life)! second, that it may go well with thee (that is succes or prosperity). if you truly seek these two benefits, then take steps to care for your parents today even if they don't seem to deserve it by your experience.

    ///. Sorry if you fall on the list of those holding grudges against their parents for some specific reason, you are not wrong, they might had left an everlasting scar on your heart, but at the end of the day our parents are not perfect; they are humans whom make mistakes, sometimes our parents felt very sorry for what they did and forever wish if they could go back in time and correct those mistakes.
    But it impossible to go back to the past and therefore forgiveness and love made it possible to correct those mistakes in the present day.
    Take down any grudges and care for your parent.
    "A father and mother who are not honored are essentially adult peers of their children" (Dennis Prager).
    Prayer: Father; give me the grace and resources to fully honour my parents and bless me as you promised in Jesus' name.
