Have you ever seen a story playing like a movie in front of your eyes while hearing it from someone or reading it in a book?
If yes, then congratulations you have great imagination and visualization skills. You might think a lot of us possess it but that is not true.

Being a holder of both of these skills I can say for certain only a few percent of human beings can both imagine and visualize it in front of their eyes at the same time.
Since I was a child I hated reading books. I lose concentration while reading them in the middle but when it comes to stories I can read them for hours and even days, leaving everything behind without losing a second of focus.
Most of the time I forget to eat, sleep and do other important things because I get so invested in the story. It’s like I become a part of that world.
This type of investment is not possible unless you have established that world in your head in detail from reading the words.
I can do this because when I am reading the lines or hearing the story, I am imagining the scenes, moments and characters in my head and visualizing them in motion in front of my eyes.
In short, what I am seeing in front of my eyes is that story playing like a movie rather than a page filled with words or a voice in my ear.
Many can’t do this. Others mostly imagine it in their head or simply just read the words. Same thing that I do when reading any other book.
I really pity those who don’t have imagination. Because they can only see the world that is in front of them, not the world that it can be.
But those of us who have imagination can visualize both worlds. We can even visit the places that we have seen in a picture just by imagining them in our head.
Imagination is very important whether you are in the field of science or art. You can’t bring something to existence if you don’t imagine it first.

As a kid we all had great imagination powers but growing up we learned to face the facts of the world. Take action based on what is in front of us. That is why when we became an adult we lost this incredible skill of ours.
But thankfully still there are few who retain this ability of their even when they grow up.
These people become great writers, artists, scientists and whatnot.
So I would request you all to preserve this skill of yours as it is very valuable and getting rare these days.
Thank you for staying until the end!
