About - New MacBook Air: M4 Chip and Apple Intelligence (AI) Capabilities. But what's new in this? I love my MacBook Air, but it’s annoying that Apple only lets certain models use two external displays. It feels like they’re pushing people to upgrade to something that should be standard anyway.
To Apple, incremental updates are appreciated, but can you do something insanely inspiring, like maybe upgrade the camera and microphones to an absurd level?

What "Apple intelligence capabilities" do you mean? It's so sad to see that there is literally no progress on Apple's AI Agenda. iOS/Mac users really hope they make a big comeback. Any AI enthusiast knows that Apple’s business model, when it comes to releases, is just not compatible with the AI race. They are not just too secretive, but also take too long to polish far outdated models for release.
OpenAI acknowledged this mistake and is now more transparent about their roadmap to the public. Apple needs to rework its business model from scratch if it wants to rise and lead the AI race. Or at least somehow merge with OpenAI (and not slow them down)!
Seriously sad to see how slow Apple is moving within this AI revolution. I understand the idea of not wanting to ship until something is “perfect”, but the lack of engagement in the AI revolution is once again seriously saddening. This is coming from someone who dipped into the negative account balance to buy a product full to experience “Apple Intelligence”.
Currently, nobody actually cares about Apple's intelligence now. The revamped Siri that is expected to come in 2027 might show us what Apple has actually planned for AI. I only hope that one day, hopefully, soon, Apple will implement a 90Hz refresh rate display on BOTH the Air series and the iPad Air!

Final thoughts:
I'm shocked that Apple didn't give us a nano texture screen option for the MacBook Air M4 like they did with the iMac and MacBook Pro.
I also have a MacBook Pro. Upgrading from my 2019 13-inch MacBook Pro to the MacBook Air M4 15-inch, and I cannot wait to leave that butterfly keyboard behind. It was just bad—loud, uncomfortable, and always one speck of dust away from breaking. Excited about a bigger screen, better battery, and a keyboard that actually works!
It will be interesting to see the deals on Amazon and other retailers. As of today, the M3 with 256 gb is 1,015 USD, which is more expensive than the M4, and they have the M2 (also 256) at 799. I would guess they will reduce the M3 to 899 very soon.
