So imagine this...
You've had a beautiful baby boy a couple months ago... You rest his beautiful body into his crib and step to the other side of the room to tidy up a corner....
He coos softly and you turn from where you are five feet away to admire him...and...you can't see his face. It's a blur. His beautiful features...missing.

This was me.
I was making breakfast one day early 2017. I looked across at my second son, about 4 months old at the time...Five feet away from me ...and I couldn't see his beautiful face. That was my breaking point. I'm going blind at 25 was my sad realization....
With tears in my eyes, I prayed that God would help me heal them. The next day my 2 year old son accidentally fell on my glasses and broke them in half! Okay God, so here we go!I looked online searching for whatever I could do to help.
It wasnt the first time I'd searched nor was it my first prayer but this time i came across endmyopia, Jake Steiner and Active Focus...Everything made sense!
Within minutes I tried and got Active Focus...I was ecstatic! Years later, I was making breakfast. I looked across at my then 4 month old third son. My husband held him and my other two boys we sitting playing with him.Five feet away from me AND I COULD SEE THEM PERFECTLY CLEAR...Every feature, every smile. No tears this time...just a happy sigh and a smile of my own.
So...I know by now the question on your mind is what is Active Focus and how can I get me some of that?
Active Focus is basically allowing your eyes to engage in seeing without the use of glasses. It is giving your eyes (read this carefully) Positive Stimulus to encourage your eyes to regain strength, focus and engagment in the seeing process.
Now, in my story, you saw that I got it relatively quick. However, I've read of others who take a while to get it and I think it's mainly because of one main thing that if you do first, you should be able to experience just as if not as quickly as I did..

The secret sauce is RELAXATION.
Yes, friends. So what I didn't tell you is that I had been not wearing my glasses for years now when I had my first active focus experience. After having my first son, I resigned from my close up computer job so I could focus on raising my family. I instantly ditched those glasses. I'd wear them only to drive.
With this huge break from glasses my eyes were destraining themselves and I didn't even know. Sure, I still saw blurry but the pressure and strain from both close up and glasses was less.
Mind you, I still had computer time but it was significantly less and even so, I did it then without glasses.
Do you have to wait 2 years before you try active focus? Don't be silly Billy..I got you...keep reading and you'll see what I now do to continue to decrease my diopoters from a -3 to being able to drive without glasses and beyond!
Secret No. 2 - Glasses makes your eyes MUCH worse and causes lens induced myopia on top of your myopia (go figure!)
So the day I got my glasses, the doctor said to me ...and i quote..."don't take 'em off only until you're going to sleep".
In hind sight, I feel enraged at this really, really bad advice this man gave to me which I followed religiously. Besides, wearing glasses was 'cool' (which was another lie from the bottom of hell spawned only to keep us in bondage behind spectacles arggggggh).
So anyway, when I ditched my glasses, what was happening over those 2 years without doing any of the things I will share with you, was that my eyes were reversing the lens induced myopia on it's own. Which leads me to
Secret No. 3 - You're eyes aren't broken and vision can be naturally restored
Your eyes aren't broken. This is the mantra of Jake Steiner - the bearded guru. Jake Steiner is the founder of Endmyopia.com. Endmyopia.com is where all my suspicions were vindicated. My conspiracy theorist mind found validation. My hunches were proven..you get the point.
I always wondered "if bad habits caused my vision to go...can't good habits reverse that?' Why was it that once someone got glasses that was the end of the road? I couldn't for the life of me get, why my eyes still attached to my body and able to receive nutrition just cant regenerate itself..but a bruise can heal, a liver can regenerate, a cavity can be remineralized (yes! it's true...i've done it too) but the eyes...oh no...the eyes are just...different they said.
They lied.
Because not so secret no. 4 - The Glasses industry is a multi billion dollar company
No glasses means no business. Need I say more?
Secret no. 5 - You can see better and drop diopoters off your prescription in less than a month
Now, here is where good ol' Jakey and I disagree. Not because he's wrong but just because where I live... I can't afford to go the route he's suggesting. Jake Steiner's approach to regaining vision is through Active Focus and using glasses that haven't been over prescribed. You'll have to read about that here: https://wiki.endmyopia.org/wiki/Active_Focus
So basically, as you regain you're vision, you will use glasses at lesser and lesser strengths, which I get it, and I know it works from the testimonies. But like I said, where I live doesn't afford me the luxury of swapping glasses every 3 months.
Firstly, if i have to buy myself a new glasses every month that will cost me $500.00 USD and if I have to ship some in it will cost a little over $100 USD per month which at a rate of 2.7169 is still something when you don't have that luxury to spare on glasses. So..I had to forge my own way. So without further ado....here are the steps I took to drop my diopoters to 0.5 and 1 in Left eye and Right eye respectively and what I'll be using to gain back full 20/20 vision:
Step One: Relax those babies.
Listen, I know you have work to do on the laptop (or maybe not) but we have to find ways to relax your tired eyes. What caused the problem in the first place is that you're eyes were tired from close up work. But you didn't give them a break. You watched t.v. or read or played games or watched your phone and they were aching and burning but you kept them open until you were satisfied and you did this over and over and over again day in and day out until they gave up.
Then, instead of resting them for as long as you didn't give them a break...you were told you have to slap on some crutches to see again ...so now youre eyes didn't even have to try and see again...you just bent the light differently so you can see through glasses....and you continued the cycle and you had to get stronger and stronger lenses.
Listen...I had to get stronger lenses twice within the period of 12 months. I know what I'm talking about.
So if you rest your eyes, you will get rid of the ocular pressure and eye strain that has your eyes burning and aching which in turn has you seeing blurry and squinting.
Just taking off your glasses when you don't need to drive or operate heavy machinery will be a drastic change. Push the laptop and tv further away and watch (in blur) your movie if you have to but ditch the frames.
Step 2 (which is really a continuation of step 1) - Get enough sleep. I don't care how long you've been wearing glasses or how strong they are. Once you go to bed and wake up your eyes are a little bit more rested than when you went to bed. Use this.
I wash my eyes every night and after computer use or tv use with filtered water.
Rinsing eyes relieves eye strain and relaxes muscles. You may find that it burns. Don't worry it's just your eyes decompressing.
I rinse my eyes off and on until that burning stops and I feel all the tension has left my eyes.
Then i go to bed. It may have taken 10 minutes...it may take 30 minutes. I don't skip this step.
Your eyes will be rested and after a good night sleep (in total darkness) you wake up with them even more rested.
Yes, I said total darkness. Your eyes work with light. Once there's light, your eyes are working. So to totally switch off your eyes you need absolutely no light. Use those eye cover thingeys if you need to but trust me. Or not.
The next thing you need to do once you get a hang of rinsing eyes regularly and getting rest is distance viewing. This is what Jake Steiner calls focus pulling. It's the 20/20/20 rule on steroids.
As often as you can, especially after a days work on the p.c. spend some time looking at the mountains if you have a view of them. Or do like me and cloud watch. At least 20 minutes of this will relieve eye strain and allow your eyes to active focus and (get this) actually make your eyes reshape them selves to the proper shape that allows normal vision.
Don't believe me? Watch this: https://endmyopia.org/pushing-focus-vs-pulling-focus/
The last thing I'll share today is this. Remember your eyes work with light? It adjusts and reconstructs itself to fit the quality of light you give it. This means, if it mostly has dim inside light to work with, it will adjust itself so that it sees good in dim, inside light and normal light from outside will make your eyes 'feel sensitive' and hurt and then you put on your sunglasses or tinited eyeglasses because your eyes 'are sensitive'....

No! You're eyes are just obedient to what ever you teach it to be obedient to.
So the last step is to give your eyes more outside, sunlight as is possible than inside. With time, it will readjust itself to that stimuli and you will find you see better inside without being sensitive to sunlight or outside light. The better the quality of light, the better your eyes will be: https://jphysiolanthropol.biomedcentral.com/articles/
It may be a little controversial, but the Bates dude was right (ol' Jakey and I disagree here). The exercises that Bates talks about is basically synonomous to the positive stimulus Jakey talks about it's just that the active focus was probably the missing piece to the Bates method.
However, the bates method was heavy on the relaxation and that's like i said the secret sauce to this whole thing.
Sungazing is very controversial but I do it and my sight has been better for it. Remember it's not looking directly into the sun, genius, but it is looking in the direction of the sun and allowing your eyes to be exposed to the full spectrum of natural light which in turn will cause them to readjust.
If you're short sighted and you're honest with yourself, I'm sure you'll admit that you spend very little time in natural light. So maybe the opposite will help (spoiler alert..it does)
Okay, yall. I've gone on long enough. Maybe I was a little harsh but it was with love for you and disdain for the lies they fed you saying you can't see with out glasses.
I hope this helps and if you want more information, leave a comment and I'll see how I can help ya...I'll...see....you later.
