Hello, thank you for taking the time to view my article. It’s lovely to have you here! Let’s get started.
I have always cherished the idea of being around nature and spending some time with it to observe all the natural aspects of the environment and seek inspiration from it. As a part of the urban life, the best way for me to spend time with Nature is through the medium of quiet evening walks. Ideally, I try to keep the duration to 30 minutes, but still try to be happy with whatever time I am able to manage. Through my observations (during these walks), I have gathered the following key learnings:
1. Opportunity for Introspection-The quiet atmosphere during the evening, where the birds are slowly returning to their homes, the sun is setting and when slowly the moon appears in the sky, this beautiful transition gives a great opportunity to introspect and observe our thoughts. This introspection can also help us to boost our creative thinking and it can also provide alternative solution/s to any task that we might be wanting to complete.
2. Establishing connection with the Nature-Through Evening walks we can observe and cherish its beauty very closely. We can look at different kinds of trees and plants, flowers, and small animals like cats, dogs, squirrels, and rabbits (depending upon the dimensions and composition of the park/garden). All these aspects can make us feel closely connected to the Nature and also signify how we all are co-existing together as a part of the same environment that is shared collectively by so many habitants of the natural environment.
3. Appreciating the Inclusion-As we get the opportunity to connect with the Nature, we begin to appreciate its inclusivity, where we can see the existence of so many different things-whether it is a small animal, insects, swings, benches, street lights, trees, grass, plants, lovely fountains and many such related things. Here, the beauty is that so many things are co-existing together in the same environment and this also gives a strong learning of how things with so much diversity could also exist together and create an inclusive space as well.
4. Revisiting the childhood days-We can also observe children of different age groups. Some would play with their friends, while some would try out different swings like see-saw, merry-go-round, sliders, other outdoor games and so on. We would also observe how relaxed and curious are those children. Through observing them, we can also get an opportunity to revisit the good and memorable parts of our childhood days.

5. Increase in Motivation-Through the calm evening walk, we can feel relaxed and get some respite from a hectic day. This can act as a quick breathing space to declutter the mind and plan out our next set of action steps for a specific task at hand. Though this space is essentially for a break during the day, but still through its soothing effect we can simultaneously get different ideas to work towards things. This will also result in positively impacting our overall state of mind and also enhance our motivation levels.
We all connect with the Nature in different ways based on our natural inclinations and subjective life experiences. I feel that Nature has its own unique soothing mechanism to sustain and create an inclusive space for all the living beings. The merits to connect with Nature would vary from person to person and in the manner in which they feel connected to it. Nature’s comprehensiveness can benefit the mankind in various ways fostering a sense of inclusion, impacting motivation, and giving a boost to the overall health and well-being. I think getting the opportunity to spend some time in the Nature can be its greatest reward to us and making this a gradual part of our life will truly feel like a blessing!
Thank you so much for your time. I will catch up soon and, in the meantime, wishing you a very pleasant day ahead!
