While selection of the course to study aside from the scope, what we really look into is love. The love, or for some people, like. The subject we enjoyed studying didn't feel like a tedious task; rather, it was something we enjoyed. And we selected a subject that we loved.

But as I delved deeper into the subject over various semesters, it kept on branching. The tree remained the same, but the branches we climbed changed each semester. Holding onto the 4-5 branch for a few months, I realised not all the branches I really enjoyed. The majority I did, but there was always a branch or a topic of my favourite subject that I didn't enjoy.

As the depth started increasing, it didn't feel that exciting. To know that something you will come across that you will not like of the same subject that you loved and still love. Still we keep going because, just due to one challenge, we can't leave the path we travelled. We overcome it and move on.

This gave me a perspective that resonates very much with the life and people we choose to spend time with.We may not enjoy certain parts or phases of life or the people we choose to surround ourselves with, but we can't keep on holding that one negative and erase all the positives.

We need to learn and accept that just because we love someone or something doesn't guarantee their perfection. It's just that we have come to acknowledge the positive and let go of the negative despite knowing and not ignoring. We can't be blind to negativity but obviously be more accepting about the positivity.Just loving is not sufficient; sometimes letting go of a few things is too.
