The Tale of Tommy turtle and the Traffic Rules

There was a turtle named Tommy. Tommy often wandered off to see the sights of the busy town. One day, he decided to visit the big park on the other side of the main road.

As Tommy reached near the road, he noticed a red traffic light above. But being impatient, he thought, "Why should I wait? The road looks clear to me!" Ignoring the red light, Tommy stepped onto the road.

Suddenly, a speeding bicycle passed by him, missing him by an inch! Tommy’s heart raced, and he quickly backed to the side of the road. Just then, Officer Owl, the town's traffic police, flew down from his branch.

"Tommy, are you alright?" Officer Owl asked.

"I’m fine," Tommy replied nervously. "But that was so frightening! Why did that bike come out so fast suddenly?"

Officer Owl smiled . "That’s why we have traffic rules, Tommy. Let me explain them to you so you can stay safe."

Tommy listened carefully as Officer Owl explained:

    1. Red means stop, green means go – You should only cross the road when the light is green for pedestrians.

    2. Use the zebra crossing – It helps drivers know where to expect people crossing.

    3. Look left, right, and left again – Even with rules, it’s always smart to check for any moving vehicles.

    4. Don’t run across the road – Walk calmly to avoid accidents.

Tommy nodded. "I didn’t know the rules were so important. Thank you, Officer Owl!"

The next day, Tommy was back at the same road. This time, he waited patiently for the light to turn green, used the zebra crossing, and looked both ways before stepping onto the road.

When he reached the park safely, all the other animals shouted. "Hooray for Tommy! He learned to follow traffic rules!"

Tommy now became an educator for road safety , teaching his friends to be careful and follow the rules.

Moral of the Story: Always follow traffic rules and signals—they are there to keep everyone safe. Patience and awareness can prevent accidents and save lives!
