It is said by many parents and guardians that firecrackers are waste or rather burning of money!
While on the surface it might be true and many adults will agree with it. But firecrackers significance for children is completely different. For children, they are the colorful rainbows in the night sky.
When everything is so dark, these items bring light. Burning them with friends, siblings and cousins is a different kind of fun that cannot be expressed through words but can only be experienced.
The excitement of waiting for the Sun to go down. Bringing all of the firecrackers together and organizing them based on which one to use first and which one to last. I bet all of us had one favorite.
For children, firecrackers aren’t just light them down and wait for them to go BOOM!
And saying all these negative words like “This is a waste of money or There you just burned down all my money, happy?” aren’t right. So I would request you all not to do that!
When I was a child, I loved them, and couldn’t wait to go shopping and buy them. I don’t do it now. But sometimes I can still feel the happiness I felt back then and the spark that I had in my eyes.
I know as parents you have to handle a lot so maybe you can’t feel the same happiness your child or children are feeling. But when you look at their face you will see those big eyes, giant smiles. I think that should be enough for you!
Thank you for staying!
