When the year started, as usual, it was filled with dreams, aspirations, joy, and happiness. The year started with a bang. But the graph can't be a straight line ever, right? Then where is the fun?
January was filled with happiness but a lot of stress. People enjoy, but students really don't, and so was the case for me. Too many assignments to complete, multiple errands to and fro in order to complete the project.
February brought the best time for me. Valentine's? No, that's petty. Exams are fun, aren't they? No, they are not welcomed; still, you have to entertain them and most likely pass them to not face them again. So February was a hell of a ride.
March brought another national-level exam for what? To make life less boring and get admitted to top institutions for a master's.
Then April to June brought intense heat waves, zoo visits, and again project completion and signing—that's another tough task: results, counselling, etc.
July finally marked the end of exams and thus the college life. August brought new beginnings, a new city, and new disasters. Basically admission to an institution and pursuing higher education. Then time really went slow for me; I literally counted days.
Finally, October marked the festival time, Durga Puja! Happiness, excited once again, finally traced back Diwali, Bhai Dooj, and whatnot; enjoyment, what we call it, is October. November and December again brought the exams that I wasn't ready for. But now they too left just like people. I am alone now with peace, family time, holidays, Christmas, and year-end, and again a new beginning.
So yeah, 2024 was not that happening, except I graduated just like my other batchmates and got into an institution for higher education. New city, new beginning. In conclusion, it was like a fruit in which you have to tolerate the bitter part to end up enjoying the sweet delight. Basically, in Bengali, there is a serial neem phuler madhu. The last line is exactly inspired by that.
