    The Mango Mystery

One day, Emperor Akbar received a gift of a basket full of the most juicy and delicious mangoes he had ever eaten. Their golden colour and sweet smell were irresistible. He decided to share them with his courtiers but had a tricky plan in mind.
He called Birbal to his court and announced, "I will give one mango each to my courtiers, but only to those who truly deserve it. Birbal, you will decide who gets a mango."
Birbal, always quick-witted, agreed with a mysterious smile. He took the basket of mangoes and addressed the courtiers.
"Your Majesty," Birbal said, "since the mangoes are so precious as well as delicious, I propose a simple test. Anyone who wants a mango must answer a riddle correctly."
The courtiers, eager to taste the delicious fruit, agreed at once. Birbal asked his first question:
"What has roots but nobody sees, is taller than trees, up, up it goes, yet it never grows?"
The courtiers scratched their heads in confusion. One guessed, "A giraffe?"
    Another shouted, "A magic stick!"
Birbal smiled “You all are wrong .The answer is a mountain. But don't worry, I'll give everyone another chance."
Birbal's next riddle was more tricky
"What comes once in a minute, twice in a moment, but never in a thousand years?"
The courtiers looked at each other . Finally, one shouted confidently, "A mango tree!"
    Another shouted, "Your Majesty's generosity!"
Birbal laughed. "No, the answer is the letter 'M'."
Now the courtiers were frustrated. Akbar, who was enjoying the scene, asked, "Birbal, will anyone ever pass your test?"
Birbal smiled and turned to Akbar. "Your Majesty, I have already found the answer to who deserves these mangoes."
" And who is that?" Akbar asked.
Birbal handed the entire basket to Akbar. "You, my emperor. Only someone as wise as you deserves such delightful mangoes. After all, only you had the wit to choose me to decide!"
Akbar laughed heartily. "Birbal, you’ve outsmarted everyone again. Very well, let us share the mangoes together!"
And so, the court burst into laughter, and everyone got a mango in the end.
