There was a boy named Ravi who loved flying kites. One afternoon, Ravi brought his favorite red kite to the field. The kite soared high into the sky, flying with the wind.
As Ravi enjoyed his kite, he noticed a small boy, Aman, sitting on a bench with a sad face. Aman held a broken kite with a torn string.
“Is something wrong ? Why aren’t you flying your kite?” Ravi asked, walking over to him.
“I love flying kites. But my kite is broken, and I don’t have another one,” Aman replied, looking at the ground.
Ravi looked at his own kite, still flying high. For a moment, he hesitated. He loved his kite and it was his favorite. He had worked hard to make his red kite perfect. He also remembered how excited he felt when he first flew it.
But when he looked at the little boy’s sad face ,then without a second thought,he reeled in his kite and handed it to Aman. “Here, you can fly mine,” he said with a smile.
Aman’s face glowed up with happiness. “Really? Are you sure?” he asked.
“Of course!” Ravi replied.
Aman ran to the open field, laughing as he flew the red kite. Ravi felt a strange happiness seeing Aman’s excitement.
Later, after a day or two, Aman’s father, who had been watching everything from a distance, approached Ravi. “Thank you for your kindness, Ravi. Here’s something for you.” He handed Ravi a brand-new kite, even more colorful than the red one.
Ravi was surprised and grateful. But more than the new kite, he was proud of the choice he made to help Aman.
