In a small village at the foot of hills, lived a brother and sister named Ravi and Asha. Ravi was ten, and Asha was seven. They often argued about small things, like who got the bigger slice of cake or who should clean up the room they shared together.
One morning, their grandmother, who was wise and old, called them into her room. She held a ball of thread and two colorful pieces of fabric. βRavi, Asha, I want to teach you something important,β she said.
She handed the thread to Ravi and the fabric to Asha. βThis thread represents love, and these pieces of fabric are you two. Ravi, try to connect these fabrics with the thread.β
Ravi tied a loose knot, but it did not work . βIt doesnβt work!β he said.
Grandmother smiled. βTry again, but this time, make the knot tighter and keep trying until the fabrics are fully joined.β
Ravi and Asha worked together, knotting and weaving the thread carefully. By the time they were done, the fabrics were inseparable.
βSee how strong the connection becomes when you work together and hold on to love?β Grandmother said. βLife is like this thread. Arguments may loosen the bond, but forgiveness, kindness and togetherness will make it stronger again.β
Ravi and Asha looked at each other, understanding her words. From that day on, they tried their best to be kind, forgive quickly, and help each other.
Whenever they quarreled, they remembered the thread and how love could bind them together forever.
Moral: Love and understanding can strengthen the bond between siblings, no matter how different they are.
