A soldier hiding in the ruins watched a sparrow as it frantically searched for materials to weave a nest on an empty, cracked helmet. He found its tenacity to grab life from the remnants of war inspiring. And as he latterly exited the area, he… left his own helmet empty; his own mute contribution in anticipation of yet another nest.
