▶️Just like most students are excited about their higher education, Siddharth was also excited about his admission. It was Monday, Siddharth's admission letter had arrived on his mail. After clearing the entrance exam, Siddharth was sure that he would get admission in at least one NIT!
Siddharth, the only son of his parents, had just passed 12th and given the engineering entrance exam and today was the day when his words were proved right. He had got admission in NIT Agartala [Tripura]. There was a sense of satisfaction on his face. There was an atmosphere of happiness in the house, sweets were being distributed in the neighborhood. Although he did not want to leave his beloved dog Gypsy🐕, but eventually he had to go.
Admissions had started. By this time he had submitted almost all the documents online. Siddharth, a resident of Varanasi, had now started his packing. He had to keep all the necessary things in one place so that nothing is left behind at the last moment?
The day came when he had to leave for Agartala to join college. He said goodbye to his parents and his beloved dog Gypsy and sat in the train waving his hand. The train moved ahead smoothly.
Sidharth's seat in the college hostel was already confirmed, so he did not need to think about staying anywhere else. Now he just had to reach Agartala and report to the college somehow. Siddharth was moving forward with the train, thinking about this.
After reaching Agartala, Siddharth entered his proposed room in his hostel. It seemed as if someone had just cleaned the room and the floor was also a little wet. Putting his luggage aside, he said to the boy sitting on the bed next to him:
Siddharth: Hello, I am Siddharth and you?
Boy (with a smile on his face): I am Sanjeev, from Mechanical, welcome to this small two-bed room. This is our home from now on. Like you, I have also shifted here 4 days ago. Stay here comfortably. The sweeper has just cleaned the room and the warden must be coming soon, he will explain the rest of the things to you.
After a little chit-chat, Siddharth went to the washroom to freshen up.

The next day Siddharth had to get his original documents verified in the college, so he went to the college. It was 10 in the morning and there was a crowd of people for new admissions in the college. When he somehow reached the admission counter of the civil branch by pushing aside the people, the line was long there too. After about 1 hour his turn came. He asked the girl standing right in front of him in a white kurta to move aside a little and then got his documents verified and after that he went towards the other section with the intention of seeing the college. He had not eaten anything since morning, now he was feeling hungry. Thinking that first breakfast and then roaming around the college, Siddharth asked someone for the address of the canteen and went towards it.
In the canteen:
Siddharth [while paying the money]: Bhaiya give me 3 samosas and a tea!
Canteen man [while handing over samosa-tea]: Take this, the chutney is on the table there (pointing towards the table).
Siddharth sat on the table in front where the chutney was kept and started eating samosas. This samosa was not as good as the one I got in Varanasi, but what better can be found here in the college canteen, thinking this he picked up another samosa. But before he could eat it Siddharth heard a sound of 5-6 people. These 5-6 people had surrounded someone, the face of the person surrounded was not visible clearly.
Siddharth jumped up from his seat a little and tried to see what was going on. The scene was something like this "5-6 boys in college uniform who looked like senior year boys were ragging a newly admitted fresher boy. That new boy was being made to do various things.
Siddharth had already heard about these incidents with the freshers in the college and since he was new himself, he quietly finished his samosa and tea and got up, leaving his table without paying attention to them.
It would be Monday after three days, and Siddharth's first day in college. Excited Siddharth moved towards his college hostel with fast steps. After reaching the hostel, he wanted to tell Sanjeev about all the incidents of today in detail and also describe the same at his home.
Monday, in college 🏛️:
The class was bustling with noise. The first class was yet to start. Siddharth had entered the class. He sat in the third row in the beginning and put his bag on the desk. He shook hands with Shailendra sitting next to him and introduced himself and asked him to introduce himself as well. Shailendra told that he is from Ambala district of Haryana and he lives in a private hostel outside the college. Before anything else could be said, all the students stood up, which clearly meant that the teacher had entered the class. All the students greeted the teacher with good morning. With everyone's introduction, the first class had started. Since it was the first class, the atmosphere was very light. A different kind of happiness was shining on everyone's face, new place, new people, everything was new. There was a class of 45 minutes, after about 4 classes were over, it was time for lunch. Shailendra offered his lunchbox to Siddharth and said, "Here brother, you also eat something from this, you are in the college hostel and I know very well what kind of food is available there." Siddharth had opened up to Shailendra by now, so he gladly accepted this offer. Both of them were having lunch sitting near the college ground, some students were seen playing on the ground and some were having lunch like him. Then one of the group of 5 boys sitting nearby called Shailendra to him, Shailendra first avoided looking at them. But when all those people came and stood near them, then both of them had to look at them.

One of them said: "Why are you ignoring the seniors. I called you once, don't you understand? Come on, get up and start greeting us one by one?"
Saying this, they picked up Shailendra's tiffin box and started eating themselves.
None of them had imagined that this was going to happen on the very first day of college. Despite restrictions, such incidents had become common in colleges. The newly-made seniors of the second year had to take revenge of the incidents that happened with them in the first year on the freshers of this year. This was the trend.
With no solution, Shailendra stood up and while giving his introduction, he kept doing whatever the seniors said. Some people were watching all this from the side. After this, Siddharth's turn came, he also had to do the same. With a sad heart, both of them started walking towards their class, the seniors were laughing shamelessly.
That day passed somehow. After this, no such incident happened with them for about 1 month. But that incident was still fresh in their minds.
Siddharth's college hostel was a little far from the campus, about 20 minutes away. So Siddharth used to go to his hostel by the college bus. Days were passing, the first unit test was about to start.
On the day of the first unit test: "A girl entered Siddharth's class in a hurry." In this hurry, her bag also fell from her hand. Seeing this, all the students started laughing. The girl got embarrassed and started looking for a place to sit while picking up her bag. This girl was probably a late entry in the college who had come to attend class for the first time after 1 month.
Seeing her disturbed state, Shailendra gestured her to sit on a seat which was empty behind him.

The girl moved towards that seat without saying anything. However, her grateful eyes were telling that she was thanking Shailendra.
After the college was over, Siddharth and Shailendra boarded the college bus to go to their hostel.
Inside the bus 🚌:
It is a bit too crowded today, Siddharth said to Shailendra while keeping his bag.
Shailendra: Yes, the college has made the unit test compulsory, so everyone has come today.
Siddharth: Yes, that's right. Let's sit on the seat quickly or else we won't get a seat either.
Only 2 buses used to go on their route and today both the buses were completely full. Shailendra's room came after Siddharth's hostel on the same route. Both of them took their seats. Now all the seats were full and the rest of the students started standing inside the bus holding the handle. Meanwhile, the girl who had come to Siddharth-Shailendra's class for the first time today also came inside. Following her, more boys and girls boarded the bus. That girl went to the back of the bus due to the crowd. The same second year seniors were sitting in the back of the bus who had ragged Siddharth and Shailendra a month ago. The bus started moving. After about 10 minutes, a boy from the senior group whose name was Mukul Lakhmani, whom his friends called Michael, called the same girl and then citing her being a senior, asked her to wish all the seniors sitting behind and to dance.
Now the face of that girl in the crowded bus was worth seeing. Her hands and feet became nervous. With trembling lips and eyes down, she refused them.
Often senior boys used to introduce or rag junior boys and senior girls used to rag junior girls. But today this trend seemed to be breaking.

Michael got angry at her refusal. He said if you don't do what I said then you will see the consequences in college tomorrow. Freshers don't ignore my words. The whole civil second year knows about me, if you want you can find out.
Tears fell from the girl's eyes. No one standing nearby had the courage to say anything to that senior. Almost all the students in the bus were first year students. The seniors were taking advantage of this.
Meanwhile Siddharth, who was watching the whole incident, couldn't resist.
He stood up from his seat and objected to the behavior of the seniors and said:
Siddharth: Sir, why are you forcing me? If someone does not want to give an introduction or act, then why are you forcing him? That too a girl?
Michael: Why are you having a problem? If you are fat, then you can perform in her place?
Siddharth: Our introduction has been done before you. You guys let her go (pointing towards the girl)
Second senior: Son, we will let her go but we will not leave you?
On this issue, Siddharth and the other seniors got into a heated argument.
Then Shailendra tried to calm the situation by addressing Siddharth and by then the bus driver stopped the bus and he also pacified the situation by mediating. Now the bus started moving again. The girl thanked Siddharth and told him her name. Her name was 'Swati'. After some time Siddharth's stop had come and that girl had to go further. So Siddharth got down at his stop. His PG (hostel) was a little inside the main road and there was a bun-masala shop near the road where Siddharth used to go for breakfast. Today he was going to the same shop. Since he was late due to the bus stopping and he was also a little hungry. Siddharth had breakfast and started walking towards his hostel. That day passed. One or two months passed peacefully, no unpleasant incident happened. Due to not liking the hostel and the food not being good, Sanjeev and Siddharth thought of taking a private hostel. There was a rule of paying hostel fees quarterly, half yearly and once a year in the college hostel. And both of them had deposited the quarterly fees, so there was no fear of loss. Both of them looked for some private hostels near them on a weekend where the food is good and the atmosphere is good. But finally they liked Shailendra's hostel which Shailendra had already told them about, the name of Shailendra's hostel was "Ashirvad Hostel", one of the best hostels in Vivekanand Nagar.
The special thing about Ashirwad Hostel was that students of all years from different colleges lived together and there were fewer restrictions in this hostel than in college hostels. It was a resident friendly and rent friendly hostel. Both Shailendra and Siddharth happily shifted to their new hostel.

2 weeks later during recess in the college ground:
A thin voice: "I will complain to the teacher, let me go!"
Sound of some boys and girls laughing. .. Ha ha ha ha!!!
Siddharth, Shailendra and some of his classmates were sitting together and having lunch, it did not take them long to understand that someone was being ragged again. Just then, the boy who had come in Siddharth's sight changed his position, due to which Siddharth's eyes directly met the person with the thin voice.
That was Swati's face with a scared face, amidst dripping tears.
Today once again she was targeted. Due to there being less girls in the civil branch, her seniors enjoyed teasing them. This time, along with those senior boys, there were also senior girls. The senior girls were no less either, everyone was making fun of Swati. Maybe she was being made to perform some Bharatnatyam-like dance.
Till date, Siddharth had raised his voice against ragging to seniors in a low voice, but today his mind suddenly went crazy. Siddharth said to his friends sitting with him: 'Enough is enough, today I will return only after ending their ragging. Come with me.' Saying this, he stood up. Some 7-8 people joined him and went to call some teachers. Reaching directly to those seniors, Siddharth said in a loud voice, 'All this will not happen after today, you can take intro but not ragging. This is not accepted by law. I am going to complain to the Dean against everyone.' Pointing towards Swati, Siddharth asked her to leave from there. Saying this, as soon as he turned back to go to the Dean, Michael caught Siddharth's collar. He was about to hit Siddharth when 7-8 people sitting with Siddharth came from behind. Seeing the crowd, the seniors left him and went away threatening him. Meanwhile, the matter reached the dean and those seniors were suspended for 2 weeks.

That day, after the college was over, all the students boarded the bus. Siddharth, Shailendra and Swati were also sitting in the middle row. Siddharth's stop came first. They got down as soon as their stop came and today Siddharth was going to the same bun-Maska shop after a long time and was taking Shailendra along. Before they could enter the shop, someone called from behind "Listen"!
It was a thin woman's voice. Both turned back and found Swati calling them.
Shailendra: 'Hey Swati you are here, your hostel is ahead, right?'
Swati: Yes, it is ahead. But I have just come to thank Siddharth, which I should have said earlier, but never got the right chance.
Swati turned towards Siddharth and thanked him for today and the events that happened inside the bus that day and then everyone enjoyed bun-Maska together. While leaving, Swati gave her number to Siddharth and both of them exchanged numbers.

A few days later in the hostel Ashirwad:
Some super seniors of the fourth year of Oriental College had thrown a party for the entire hostel today. The atmosphere was full of fun, songs were playing and some were even seen holding bottles. Everyone was enjoying themselves. Meanwhile, Sanjeev introduced Siddharth to a super senior of the fourth year, Vivek Pratap, who was from his state Uttar Pradesh. With time spent together, Siddharth and Vivek Pratap became good friends🤝. It is often seen that the seniors of the fourth year sympathize with the freshers and if they find someone of their own kind, then it's great!! The fun continued till 12:30 in the night, then the caretaker stopped the music. But people were still busy in their rooms. Those who had drunk went to sleep and the rest thought it better to sleep after dinner.

At the time of dinner🍽️:
Vivek Pratap: Brother Siddharth, you seem like a good guy. If you face any problem in your college, tell me. I will take care of it. Write down my number. Saying this Vivek Pratap gave his number to Siddharth.
Siddharth greeted them and saved the number. Everyone finished their dinner and they too went to sleep.
Meanwhile the incident with the dean that day had deeply hurt the seniors. Now they were looking for an opportunity to catch them alone.
One day they got a chance in the bus, Siddharth and Shailendra had not been coming to college for a few days. Taking advantage of this the seniors caught Swati and this time another junior boy with her. The drama started with that boy. By the time Swati's turn came she passed on the phone to Siddharth.
Siddharth told all this to his super senior Vivek. Vivek said tell him to let the bus come to Vivekanand Nagar then we will see. Swati followed the instructions of the seniors without making any ruckus until Vivekanand Nagar was reached.
As soon as the bus stopped at Vivekanand Nagar where Ashirwad hostel was located, Siddharth's senior Vivek challenged those boys to get out. Those boys also got angry and got off the bus. After this, there was a scuffle during the argument. There were 5 boys in the bus and Vivek, Siddharth and a boy from their hostel were also with them. These three taught those five a lesson. Since Vivek had been at this place for the last 4 years, he had a strong hold in the area. After beating them, those five second year boys went back. Siddharth also got a little hurt.
That day's story ended.
At night ⏲️:
Trin. .... (Phone rang 📲!)
Siddharth: Hello, yes Swati!
Swati: You shouldn't have fought.
Siddharth: Hey! You yourself had called me and told me your issue.
Swati: Yes, still, you shouldn't have fought.
Siddharth: Do you think he was going to listen without them, if he wanted to listen he would have listened by now. Even after the Dean's incident he did not improve.
Swati became silent now 🔇.
Swati had come to know very well by now that as long as Siddharth is with her, the seniors cannot trouble her. She started asking him to come to the college.
Siddharth: I will not be able to come for 2 more days, I am going out. Don't worry, they will not do anything now. Ok, now I am going down to eat, otherwise the mess will be closed, saying this he hung up the phone saying bye.
Sanjeev: Was it Swati's call?
Siddharth: Yes, it was her call.
Sanjeev: Look brother, I am saying one thing, don't feel bad. Is Swati using you for her safety? Girls have this quality.
Siddharth: I don't think so, I was the one who went to save her from the seniors for the first time.
Sanjeev: If it was someone else in her place, would you have gone to save him too?
Siddharth (thinking a bit): "Yes, I would have definitely gone." Sanjeev: That means, you would have saved anyone from your side. But you told me that she was telling you that you should not get beaten up by those seniors, whereas she was the one who called you. What did she think would happen next? ##!! Siddharth: I cannot see atrocities being committed on anyone, that is why I went. Yes, I agree that it was a bit too much. The discussion on this topic went on for a while at the dinner table and then she started calling him to her bed. Soon both of them fell asleep. For the next several months, Siddharth and Swati kept talking. Both of them watched movies together, went to malls, visited gardens and tasted many dishes. Due to this, along with growing closeness between them, they got to know every nook and corner of the important places of Agartala.
#5
Swati shared her room with another girl Rupali. Two other girls also lived with her in the same flat. Located in Indiranagar, Swati and the other 3 girls had taken a 2 BHK flat. The place was good and safe for girls.
Vivek Pratap's last semester was over and he had shifted to his friend's flat in Indiranagar for the last few days instead of Ashirwad hostel.
He wanted to enjoy the last few days of his stay in Agartala. Before leaving, he hosted a party for his close friends in his Indiranagar flat. Siddharth was also invited to that party.
While going to Vivek Pratap's flat, Siddharth's phone rang: the call was from Siddharth's house. Sitting in the auto, Siddharth picked up his phone and started talking, he also enquired about his dog Gypsy. Gypsy missed Siddharth but with the passage of time, Gypsy had also become accustomed to being without him.
While the conversation was still on, another call started coming on waiting list, it was Swati's call.
But while talking to his family, due to the noise outside, he did not notice Swati's call. He had reached Indiranagar, he paid the auto driver and went inside Vivek sir's flat. There was a great party, songs were played at a high volume and today Siddharth had also drunk along with everyone.
When everyone left at around 1 o'clock in the night, Siddharth also asked to leave. Vivek sir asked him to stay at his flat the whole night. Where will you go at this time of the night, you have also drunk. Siddharth got lost in thought for a while, then he looked at his phone to see the time. The clock was showing 1 o'clock in the night. And also there were 2 calls from Swati in the notification. Siddharth called Swati, she picked up the call after 3 rings.
Siddharth: Hello, Swati, yes tell me, did you call?
Swati: Yes! Actually my roommate Rupali has gone home 2 days ago and I am also going to my home the day after tomorrow on Sunday. I will return after a few days. We will not be able to talk much at my home. Did you sleep?
Siddharth (laughing): No-no, today is Vivek Sir's farewell party which he has hosted. I am at his place and now I am just about to leave from here. I have called a friend of mine to pick me up from here. It is difficult to get an auto at this time of the night!
Swati: Siddharth, have you drunk alcohol?
Siddharth (controlling his voice): No, I have not drunk.
Although Swati was understanding, she did not give much importance to this matter.
Swati: Why are you going so late? Stay there.
Siddharth: No, it does not look good, he has other room mates too, all are seniors. I will leave. I have called my friend, he will come in 20-25 minutes.
Swati: You are in Indiranagar, right?
Siddharth: Yes, Vivek sir has shifted here now, I told you, right?
Swati: Ok! Come to my flat, it is nearby, leave tomorrow morning. Meet me once before I leave.
Siddharth (pauses for 30 seconds): No friend, I have asked my friend to come.
Swati: So what, refuse him.
This time Siddharth agreed straight away. He must have walked for hardly 6-7 minutes after coming out and Swati's flat started appearing in front of him. Siddharth found Swati already standing at her door. After Siddharth came inside, she closed the door of her main gate.
Inside the room:
Swati: Would you like to eat something?
Siddharth: No, I have eaten. Now I am feeling a little sleepy.
Swati and Siddharth were both sitting on the same bed in the room, their faces were facing each other 👦👧, hence Siddharth's mouth smelled of alcohol. She asked about it once again.
Swati: Siddharth, you can tell me, I will not judge you. Have you drunk? She just wanted to hear it from Siddharth's mouth.
Siddharth (coming into a relaxed posture): Yes, I have drunk today but I don't drink always, it was Sir's farewell today so.....
Before anything further could be said, Swati silenced him. Its okay!
Swati's room had two beds, one of her own and the other of her room partner. Siddharth asked Swati for a half lower, because he was not comfortable sleeping in jeans. Swati gave him one of her shorts but it was too short for Siddharth. Then he asked for a towel and wrapped it around his waist and lay down on her roommate's bed and tried to sleep. The effect of the 'medicine' Siddharth had taken was now getting stronger. Due to which he was feeling very sleepy.
The main light of the room had been switched off and now only a faint blue light💡was spreading all around the room from the zero watt bulb. There was a light breeze outside which both of them could feel on their bodies through the half-open window. A street light was also twinkling at a distance, due to which the deserted road in front and 3-4 banyan trees🌳were barely visible. Siddharth fell asleep💤 but sleep was still far away from Swati's eyes. She played piano songs🎶on her mobile phone on a loop in low volume to fall asleep. She often did this whenever she could not sleep and kept the phone📱near her head and tried unsuccessfully to sleep.
Siddharth was on the bed near the window. The window was open and there was good air🌬️in the room but at the same time, all the mosquitoes that were to come had already come. Now there was no use in closing the window and it was going to be morning in a short while.
Around 5:05 am: Scratching his neck, Siddharth turned over and his eyes opened slightly. He found Swati listening to music in low volume with her eyes half closed. He called out to Swati and said, Swati are you awake? Swati did not answer the first time, but when asked the second time, she said yes.
Siddharth: Are mosquitoes biting you too?
Swati: No, they are not biting me. I am just not able to sleep.
Siddharth: But they are biting me!
Swati (without turning towards Siddharth): They are not biting me, if you want you can come and sleep here!
Siddharth (wearing slippers): He went towards the washroom. After a while he came back and lay down on Swati's bed🛏️with his pillow.
After a while Swati turned towards Siddharth and her hand touched Siddharth's shoulder. Now both their faces were facing each other very close.
So close that both their breaths were hitting each other. After a gap of about 5 minutes, both their partially closed eyes opened together and their eyes directly met. That blue bulb was still spreading light in the room. On the other hand, the sweet tune of piano🎶 playing in low volume on Swati's mobile was also making the atmosphere very sweet. Swati's eyes seemed like a cat's. Despite not being able to sleep, a strange glow was visible in her eyes. By now the depth of Siddharth's eyes had also increased. Siddharth held Swati's hand on his shoulder with his fingers and turned it downwards but he still did not leave Swati's hand. The fingers of both were now intertwined. Both felt a strong pressure between the hands. The fingers were intertwined in such a way that even air could not pass between them. Now Siddharth's other hand had come under Swati's neck. Now both their bodies had come so close that they both could feel each other completely. Whatever was happening was happening on its own. Time had created such a situation that it was not in the power of either of them to overcome it. After about 25 minutes, when both of them regained consciousness, the first ray of the sun had appeared. The noise of birds had started outside. Both separated themselves from each other. Siddharth went to the kitchen to drink water and Swati started preparing the bed. After some time Siddharth was about to leave for his hostel and he took an auto from the auto stand near the road and left for his hostel.
Now Swati started packing her things, she had to leave for her home the next day and Siddharth also got busy in his other works, but the incident of the morning was still going on in the minds of both.
After a few days Swati returned home after completing her work. Swati could not talk to Siddharth much on phone at her home. That is why as soon as she returned she called Siddharth and talked for a long time and asked him to meet next weekend, Siddharth immediately agreed. Siddharth told a good location 'Tripura Heritage Park' which is a place spread over about 4 hectares of land in a place called Kunjaban in Agartala. He was planning to go there since a long time. This was a good opportunity.
It was Sunday, both of them met at their decided place and booked a cab and left for the Heritage Park. On reaching there they got to see a very old and past-like view. This place takes the visitors to an unreal world.
Swati was filled with joy seeing the collection of artifacts spread around the park which included heritage benches, earthen pots, wooden crafts, stones. Siddharth was also feeling good seeing Swati happy. After the incident that happened at Swati's house that night, Siddharth had a strong feeling of affection for Swati and perhaps this had also taken root in Swati's mind. The happiness of meeting after a few days was clearly visible on both their faces. Both roamed around in that heritage park for a long time and in the evening took a cab back to Indiranagar. Both thought of having dinner outside today and had dinner at a good restaurant. While returning to their respective rooms:
Siddharth: We had a good time today.
Swati: Yes, did you and I enjoy it?
Siddharth: Yes, me too, I was thinking of going for a long time, today I got this opportunity because of you. Thanks Swati.
Swati (holding Siddharth's hand): We both liked it, by the way you made the plan successful.
Now both came closer looking into each other's eyes and Siddharth whispered near Swati's ear, I wish this moment was a little longer? Before Swati could say anything, Siddharth and Swati's lips touched each other. Today without saying anything, whatever doubt was in both their minds was cleared. Both then took leave and went towards their respective rooms.

The next 3 years of college went by very well for both of them. Then after the final semester examination of the fourth year, Siddharth got a job in a company in-campus (in college). The company was also of his core branch Civil. A total of 7 people were selected in that company, one of whom was Siddharth's name. During that time, one day Siddharth also got a call to come home. Now he just had to wait for the result of the last semester, which he was sure that he would pass with very good marks. Siddharth immediately took the ticket and went to his home. On reaching Siddharth's house, the gypsy was jumping and welcoming him, the rest of the people also looked very happy.
The next day at Siddharth's house:
Four people arrived, among whom was Siddharth's elder maternal uncle. He was very happy to see his maternal uncle. But his happiness turned into surprise when his mother told him that the people who had come with his uncle had come to see Siddharth.
Siddharth's marriage was being discussed, of which Siddharth had no clue.
Feeling cheated, Siddharth sat quietly with them. He wanted to tell his family, but his lips could not say anything. Siddharth called Swati that evening and told her everything. He also told her about the girl with whom he was being talked to for marriage. That girl was from his uncle's village and they knew each other for a long time. Siddharth said that he did not understand what to do? He could not marry by angering his family. The family had suffered a lot for their only son, from taking loans for school-college education to other expenses and building a house. It would definitely not be tolerable for them that he takes a decision to marry someone else on his own. But I do not want to do this marriage either, Swati. I had thought that I would take some time and tell them about us but I never got a chance. I did not know that they had already talked to each other. After being silent for some time Swati said, I know this is not easy, not only for you but also for me, but I also know that there is a very special place for you in my heart which will never be filled by anyone else. I have full faith in your decision. Whatever your decision will be, I will accept it. Swati said in a low voice: "My family is also looking for a match for me too, but I will wait for your answer first, I will wait for you"⏳.... The phone got disconnected. !!!!
After this, the conversation between the two had almost stopped, many days passed by ........
Siddharth's family already liked the girl, Siddharth was not able to speak much openly. The date of engagement was fixed for the next month. In Siddharth's culture, marriages were done a little early and there was a scene of asking for marriage immediately and marriage immediately. The house was decorated with flowers, people were coming and going, today Siddharth had to be asked for a pass. Siddharth's final result had also come. He had completed engineering with 86 CGPA. After the result, he submitted the documents to his selected company and his office joining date was also 16th of the next month. Now he had to pack all his belongings from Agartala and bring them home which he had left there till now.
Siddharth once again stepped into the same streets of Agartala where he had spent his 4 precious years, where he had met Swati, where his roommate was Sanjeev. Sanjeev was also going to vacate the hostel in the next 3 days, so he had informed Siddharth accordingly and Siddharth also reached there on time.
Maybe this was the last time they were meeting. After college everyone will start building their lives, there is little chance of meeting again at any point in life. After spending the whole day together, in the evening he called Swati thinking that maybe she is in Agartala at her flat? If she wants to meet Siddharth for the last time, she can meet him. Siddharth's call was not picked up, Siddharth wrote a message and sent it. After a while, he gets a message from Swati that she has left Agartala 15 days ago and now she has come to her home permanently. Siddharth sent another message:
Siddharth: 'Swati, my marriage is fixed on the 10th of next month'! Don't wait for me, you marry someone else.

Although both were talking through messages, it seemed as if both were talking face to face and Swati's eyes were saying that there is still time "come back"!
The next day Siddharth left Agartala forever and left for his home in Varanasi. This was the last time these two talked and they never spoke again.

The 10th was the day when Siddharth finally got married. !!!!
2 years later📅:
After celebrating his 6-month-old child's birthday, Siddharth posted a photo of his child on social media. Siddharth's child looked very cute in a red cap. In the second photo, Siddharth and his wife were standing with the child's grandfather and grandmother holding their grandson. It was a cute family photo🖼️. Within two hours, he had received 58 comments and 100 likes. While scrolling through his phone, he saw a comment in his inbox replied to his status. When he opened the comment, he found that Swati had wished him a happy birthday for his child. They were connected on social media since college time, but this was the first message of any kind in the last 2 years. Siddharth thanked her and asked about her.
Siddharth: How are you?
Swati: I am fine!
Siddharth: Today my son has completed his 6th month whose pomp and show you are seeing in the photo. Siddharth further asked, tell me about yourself Swati, are you having a boy or a girl? If it is a girl then she will be just like you!
Swati: ..... (silent)
Siddharth: Oh, it's okay, I was just asking. If you haven't planned anything yet then it's okay. You didn't feel bad when I said this?
Swati: No, it's not like that. It's good to see you happy. I am leaving, I have some work now, take care of yourself. BYE!!
That night after having dinner Siddharth went to his bedroom. Before going to sleep he picked up his phone for the last time and checked the notifications, more comments had come on his social media post. He opened the notifications, then he saw Swati's like too. Suddenly Siddharth went to her profile. But what is this? What did he see?
In Swati's profile bio, two lines were written about her incomplete life and her relationship status was "single".
End of story !!!
