I was in middle school when one of my classmates started calling me “mute.”Â
I remember a boy who loved to tease other students about their insecurities. He thought it was cool, and my classmates found it funny, including me at the time. No one thought it was wrong; it was just friends teasing each other. We were so immature back then.
Now, when I think back on those days, I realize how naive we all were. He started calling me “mute,” and while everyone thought it was funny, I did not. As people say, you only understand how something feels when you experience it yourself.
But why he started calling me mute ?
