Chapter 1
**Daisy's POV**
I sit in the cold cell not having anything else but the clothes on our bodies. We have been eating dry bread for the past three days with some water to swallow it off with. Most of the girls in my cell is from my pack. I hear the cries, girls in the other cells, hungry and scared. Begging to be freed. It has been three days since my entire pack family were killed. Including our Alpha and Luna. Still wondering who did this and why?. I will come to the bottom of this even if I have to die trying. I turn my head and look at my best friend Rose sitting next to me all cradled up against me. I look down and then she says "What are we going to do Daisy? We need to try and get out of here." I look at the guard standing at the door looking at Rose. "Shh, he will hear you." I say in a whispered voice. I look away not making it to obvious. After a few moments I look back at the guard and he stands with his back against the cell door again. It's getting quiet and I know the girls must have fallen asleep.
I look out the small window and see the moon has risen high up in the sky. It must be near midnight. Rose has fallen asleep on my shoulder. I lay my head back on the cold brick wall closing my eyes. Unsure of what is going to happen to us. (Three days before) My life is quite spectacular at the moment. I have become of age with my 18th birthday that was just two days ago. My mother and father was killed when I was 10 years old. The Alpha and Luna has been taking care of me ever since. They became like a mother and father to me. I run through the forest Rose just behind me. She has long red hair with some freckles on her face with green eyes. Tall and slim. I am just the opposite, Long blonde hair with a curl to it with ocean blue eyes. A body that makes all the boys drool over. Thanks to all the workouts I done very day.
I jump into the lake and I hear her jump in behind me. "Told you, you won't catch me." I say "I tried okay. One day is one day, then I will catch you. I will just have to work harder." she says splashing water in my face. We climb out of the water then we hear the screams. We look at each other wide eyed and stand there frozen. Loud noises, screams, wolfs howling. I take Rose's hand and hide behind a big rock. "We are under attack Rose. We need to run and hide." I say I take her hand and run as fast as we can further into the forest. We find a small cave and wiggle ourselves into it. We sit there for a few minutes. The screams has died down, I look out of the cave opening and see big clouds of black smoke coming from the pack grounds. Mybheart breaks, knowing that some other wolf pack is burning our pack to the ground. Killing everyone. Rose begins to cry and I say "It's okay, everything will be okay. We just need to sit tight for a bit." I try to be strong for Rose. She has always been quite sensitive. She cry easily, so I have always been the stronger one.
We have been friends since we were 6 years old and since then nothing could separate us. It feels like an eternity has passed before Rose and myself squeezed ourselves out of the small cave. We walk back to the pack grounds slowly making sure it was safe. Not sure what we will find when we get there. As we got closer we stopped. Making sure we didn’t hear anything. As we round the corner my heart stopped. There was nothing left. All the pack houses were burnt to the ground. All in ashes. I became angry. Who would do this. We walked around seeing if there was anyone still alive. Hiding or searching like we are. Nothing its deserted. I see all the bodies on a heap already burned to ashes. Smells of dried blood and meat hanging in the air. Rose is crying uncontrollably as we stand in front of their used to be house. All that remained was her mothers stainless steel necklace. I picked it up and hand it over to her.
She took it from me and wiped it on her skirt. Placing it around her neck. I turn to walk to the Alpha and Luna's house. The house I have known since I was a little girl. The house I grew up in since I was ten years old. They took me in like their own. I stood on the broken planks that used to be the patio and try to figure out where my room was. I see a book on the floor and I rush towards it. Unburned I pick up the book and open it. Inside is a heart shaped necklace. Two photos inside one with the Alpha and Luna and the other my parents. I look if I can see anything else but nothing. I take the still clean necklace and put it around my neck. That is until I hear her scream. I turn around and just as I dash at full speed back to Rose I see two men grab her. I freeze and walk backwards slowly. One sees me and I turn to run. I run into the woods as fast as I can. Just as I am about to jump the border a hand grabs me on my arm and pulls me into him. I try to brake free but he is to strong. Fear takes me at full force and before I know it blackness consumes me.
