‘DRUVA’
The unshakeable, immovable, and fixed
Whenever you come into me
Whether I am asleep or not
The crisscross of time happens
Within and out side
Past flows into me
and walks, following the footsteps of present.
Past is not deadly, but daring.
Is this a time of play or
Play of time?
You descend into me
As swiftly as Goddesses of ancient scriptures
Then this happens, the interplay of
fluent past and present
and at last, present-present
Future is aspiration, past is inspiration, and
Present is perspiration
Inspiration is nothing but
perspiration for aspiration
past is nothing but the
backward extension of the present,
present is a leap from the past,
Because this crisscross of time
was not there;
in the first year, the second year and over many years
since my birth.
I don’t remember
the exact period
but it’s equal to
the period of accumulation
of past, present and sleeping future.
There dies
a little problem –
a human representation like me
from the essence of a human like me,
amidst this crisscross of time.
Listen, keep your ears open!
Can you hear the violin?
Then tell me, who will be Druva
and keep vacillate?
N.B. ‘Dhruva’ is a Hindu mythological character…is perennially there in space, unshakeable, immovable, or fixed for ages. The Pole Star or North Star is also known as ‘Dhruva Tara’ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhruva)
