In childhood’s realm, childhood lost its way,
one mistake magnified, a hundredfold they say.
No longer deemed as child, forgiveness seems so rare,
in these harsh judgements, innocence withers in despair.
Listening to tales of wrong, innocence slips away,
within each whispered word, it quietly fades astray.
Longing to forget, yet memories they insist,
Today, she’s grown wiser, yet tears persist.
