This Rohu fish curry is a flavorful dish that includes Rohu fish and a variety of spices. In this recipe, I’ve used traditional spices in an unusual way to add a twist to our own special rohu fish curry. You don’t have to be a celebrity chef to make a delicious rohu fish curry. Simply add a few spices to your rohu fish curry, and your recipe is complete.

Ingredients (adjust as per your requirement)

Rohu Fish
Chopped Tomatoes (1 cup)
Chopped Onions (1 cup)
Dried Dill (1 tbsp)
Ginger-garlic Paste (1 tbsp)
Coconut Milk (I am using powder 2 tsp)
Cilantro leaves (chopped)

(For Toasting Spices)

  • Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
  • Whole dry red chillies  3-4
  • Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp

(For Preparing The Spice Blend)

  • Soy Sauce 1 tsp
  • Red chilli flakes 1 tbsp
  • Oregano 1 tbsp
  • Black Pepper 1/2 tbsp
  • Toasted spice (blended)
  • Salt 1 tbsp

Instruction

  • Place the cleaned and sliced Rohu fish steaks on a platter.

Blend the toasted spices into a fine powder

Soy Sauce 1 tsp
Red chilli flakes 1 tbsp
Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Oregano 1 tbsp
Black Pepper 1/2 tbsp
blended spice mix
salt 1 tbsp

Sprinkle both sides of the fish with the seasoning and smear with mustard oil or olive oil or sesame oil.

Keep aside the fish for 20 minutes.
