My eyes darted towards the ceiling as I slowly opened my weary eyes that were flooded with tears, tears struggling to be free from colonization for years.

I lifted my skinny body as I sat upright, feeling and immersing myself in the quietness and the darkness surrounding my room.

Even though my body is as delicate as an egg, still!it receives the hardest weapon that can break a hero Within a second while corrupting my heart, making it heavier than a mantle.

Sporadically, I wonder how this small body can accommodate this heavy heart without shattering to pieces.

My soul, my heart, my mind, and my spirit were struggling to be in peace with themselves but no matter how hard they tried, they were being defeated by some invisible voices.

Voices that feed on my thought, making it chaotic as one could imagine.

A series of voices whispering in my head as I stormed out into the cold empty street, running and running non-stop to escape from this dreadful moment, to escape all the striking reality.

I kept on running like a psychotic patient until I ended up in a place so quiet, like a graveyard, except for the  whistling  sound of the wind.

At the right angle was a mountain that was standing like a giant statue.

I climbed through it as I followed the small carved step that led me to the top. My eyes narrowed as I felt the impact of the  peaceful atmosphere. Feeling the quietness and a clear view of the world while giving a constant urge to scream”haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa” I screamed as i heard the repetitive sound of the echo and for the first time in my life I felt like someone was there to hear me out, like someone is ready to share my pain. The repetitive sound of the echo made me feel like I wasn’t t the only one going through those hard times, like someone was listening to me.

I quickly let out my feelings as I poured out my emotions into thin air while screaming on top of my voice, narrating and letting out how I am feeling and suffering in silence and finally, my hidden tears decolonized itself as it rolled down my cheek uncontrollably.

And at that moment, I felt relieved, I felt my heart becoming lighter, as if all the pain I was feeling faded away with my let out emotions.

For the very first time, I found peace with myself, I felt the ease I could never imagine.

A feeling of being free from bondage and sadness as I embrace myself.

“I deserve to be happy” I murmured,a wild smile appearing on my face.
