Ho Chi Minh took 18 minutes to realize that a plane was missing and to call Kuala Lumpur to talk about it.
By that time, the plane took an aggressively left turn towards Malaysia, now pointing WEST. Later, it crossed entire Malaysian territory and reached the Indian Ocean, where it again made a turn to point SOUTH.
