Sweet foods and sweet drinks are often considered by people to awaken your energy when you are tired. This is based on the fact that many of us are so tired of eating sweet foods or sweet drinks. However, do you know that sweet food or drinks as a source or energy generator for humans is a myth? Yes, sweet foods or sweet drinks, as a source of energy for humans when tired is a myth that has long existed in our society. 

In fact, too much sweet food and sweet drinks can even make your body tired. A research has proven that sweet foods and sweet drinks that contain lots of sugar will only make your body tired. As quoted by a health magazine, the researchers found the fact that people who eat sweet foods will feel more tired one hour after eating those sweet foods or sweet drinks. 

Another fact discovered from the results of research published in a behavioral review magazine is that anyone who consumes snacks with a sweet taste will have reduced mental alertness. This will certainly be dangerous for those people who have to work with a high level of focus. For that, it’s good for them not to eat sweet snacks while working. Not only that, sweet foods like chocolate and ice cream are also often thought to improve one’s mood. 

Well, in the study carried out, no factors were found that make sweet food affecting one’s mood. The research was conducted by scientists analyzing data from 1,300 adults who participated in one different types of studies. One researcher stated that the findings obtained by him and his fellow researchers were expected to make people aware of the sugar myth as an energy source and vice versa would actually make someone feel worse.
